Flying saucer for €500 on Leboncoin
'Guaranteed to turn eyes' and 'ideal for Sunday outings', the vehicle hasn't found a buyer yet
IF YOU have always wanted to own a flying saucer, an opportunity has just come up on the popular French classifieds site Le Bon Coin.
The 3.8-metre wide vehicle is "guaranteed to turn eyes" and is "ideal for Sunday outings" - although the €500 asking price reflects the fact that it doesn't actually fly.
The vehicle is seeking a new owner and was last pictured taking part in a carnival parade in Evian. It has only ever had one careful owner and is in good working order.
Built around an old Citroën AX, it has an 1100cc motor powered by "polluting earthling petrol", a "cosmic accelerator pedal", handbrake, steering wheel and "can also travel backwards".
The witty ad says: "Sold with carte grise (vehicle registration document), but no contrôle technique and little hope of it passing."
The saucer was made by a group of friends last year to take part in several carnival parades. It doesn't come with a stereo system.
