Heavy rain, snow, 100km/h winds: Storm Diego hits France
The inclement weather conditions are set to begin today (April 7), worsen tomorrow and last into the early hours of Saturday
France is set to experience heavy rain, snow and wind gusts of up to 100km/h from today (April 7), as Tempête Diego arrives over the country.
It will be raining across the majority of France today, and wind speeds will get up to 60-80km/h.

National weather service Météo France then predicts that Tempête Diego will begin to move eastwards tomorrow (April 8) at midday and reach Germany overnight.
Tomorrow, the wind will grow stronger, reaching 80-100km/h and 110km/h in certain areas of western France. This wind will be accompanied by heavy rainfall and the north of the country can expect snow in the afternoon and evening.
In the northern Alps, 30-50cm of snow could fall above 2,200m, and even 70cm above 3,000m.
All of northern and central France is under a yellow weather alert this morning for high winds and rain, but in some areas this is likely to be upgraded to an orange warning.
