Win a night at Galeries Lafayette
Shopaholics delight as Paris department store offers six people a chance of a sleepover the night before the sales start
PARIS department store Galeries Lafayette has listed itself on short-term rental website AirBnB for a one-night-only sleepover on January 6.
Six lucky guests will be able to spend the night in the store - and be first in line when the store’s Winter Sale starts the following day. Their stay will include a private tour and preview of the sale, a sumptuous meal, personal shopping advice and a €200 voucher.
They will sleep in one of luxurious beds in one of the store’s pret-a-porter departments, and - after a typical French breakfast - take part in the store’s grand sale-day opening.
Travel to Paris is included.
Galeries Lafayette is the latest venue to join AirBnB’s “A Night At” initiative, in which venues that are normally closed at night are opened up to guests. Overnight stays have already been offered at an IKEA store in Australia, a KLM plane in Amsterdam and a Waterstones book store in the UK.
In order to be in with a chance of winning the special overnight stay, explain in 100 words - in French or English - why you should be one of the six lucky guests given the chance to stay at the store.
Closing date for entries is December 28. For more information and to enter, log on to the Galeries Lafayette listing on AirBnB here,
