Christmas 2025: festive concerts, carols and markets across France

From the first Advent carol services to festive markets and family shows, Connexion readers are preparing for a season of celebration.

Christmas carols – Monteton (Lot-et-Garonne) Bilingual French–English carol service at 18:00 at Église Notre Dame, Monteton (47120).

Town carol service – Eymet (Dordogne) 

Starts 17:00 at Église Notre Dame.

Saturday, December 20 Christmas music morning – Eymet (Dordogne) Informal carols and music at Eymet Temple between 10:00 and 12:00. Visitors may arrive and leave as they wish.

Christmas Carols – Belvès (Dordogne)

Join the local community for festive carols in Belvès. 

Christmas services – Eymet and Doudrac (Dordogne / Lot-et-Garonne) 

A morning service will be held at Eymet Temple (24500) at 10:30, followed by Christmas carols at Église Jean Baptiste in Doudrac (47210) at 17:00.

Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols – Royat, Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme) 

Christ Church, Clermont-Ferrand, the English-speaking Anglican church, will hold its Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at 17:30 at 1 bis Avenue Jean Heitz, 63130 Royat. 

The service will be followed by festive refreshments, including vin chaud and mince pies. More information on Advent and Christmas services is available on the church’s website or by email.

Christmas concert - Saumur (Maine-et-Loire)

Free concert by Contrepoint at St Nicholas church at 16:00. All are welcome

Candle-lit carol service - Guéret (Creuse)

At 10:30 in parish hall at 4 rue Sylvain Grateyrolles

Share some mulled wine and sing traditional carols at the Foyer Rural at 17:00

 Christingle service – Eymet (Dordogne) 

A family-friendly Christingle service takes place at 17:00 at Eymet Temple (24500).

Christmas Day – Thursday, December 25

 Christmas Day communion – Monteton and Doudrac (Lot-et-Garonne) 

Communion will be celebrated at 10:30 at Église Notre Dame in Monteton (47120). 

A Family Communion follows at 11:00 at Église Jean Baptiste in Doudrac (47210).   

Sunday, January 8-10

New year panto - Eymet (Dordogne)

 This year's show is The Wizard of Oz (in English), with adult tickets priced at €15 and €10 for children.
