What happens for routine dentist visits in France?
When can I see my dentist for a non-urgent appointment?
A spokesperson for the official Covid-19 helpline said that from May 11, you can see your dentist for a non-urgent appointment, without an attestation, if your dentist is within 100kms of your home (or further if they are based in the same department that you live in).
If your dentist is more than 100kms away from your house and in a different department to where you live, you will need an attestation form which you can download here.
Dentists are seeing fewer patients per day - about half the number - than before lockdown to ease movement in the surgeries and patients must comply with new safety precautions, such as using hand gel and wearing shoe covers provided by dentists.
Dentists will be taking maximum precautions and wearing protective gear. It is advised to check directly with your dentist if they are operating as usual.
