Covid-19 France: Latest patient figures
The latest figures on Covid-19 situation in France were released yesterday and show that the number of deaths continues to reduce.
There were 35 additional deaths from the virus, from Saturday to Sunday. This follows on further reductions in the last week. There were 125 deaths from Covid-19 recorded on May 19, 58 on May 21 and 43 on Saturday.
There have been 28,367 recorded deaths since the beginning of the epidemic, including 10,345 in care homes.
Yesterday, the 35 deaths recorded were only at hospitals and there were no new deaths recorded in care homes.
There have now been 144,921 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in France with 115 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours.
The number of patients in intensive care also continues to decrease with 1,655 people now in intensive care, 10 fewer than on Saturday.
In total there are now 17,185 people in hospital suffering from the virus, a rise of seven patients compared to Saturday.
64,617 patients have been able to leave the hospital, 70 in the last 24 hours. Figures do not take into account deaths at individual homes.
