Manchester night out ends in Paris

Drunken teenager wakes up in Charles-de-Gaulle airport toilets. His mum is not happy

A NIGHT out in Manchester turned into a hungover tour of the French capital for one enthusiastic drinker.

Luke Harding, 19, was taking a taxi back from a nightclub in Oldham, when he decided to take a detour – and booked a Flybe flight to Paris on his phone.

After paying the cab driver, Luke checked in at the airport, later telling the Daily Mail he kept as quiet as possible so no one noticed he was drunk.

He remembers little of the 6am flight but woke up in the toilets of Charles de Gaulle Airport where he then did two essential things; he called his mum and began posting his exploits on Twitter.

With eight hours until his return flight, Luke took a bus into the city, ate a croissant at the Arc de Triomphe but didn’t climb the Eiffel Tower because of the queues.

“I got in a taxi to Manchester airport and booked a flight on my phone! Don’t remember the flight. It’s f***ing expensive here though. Mum thinks I’m a pillock. Walked past the Eiffel Tower 3 times! Not a clue where I am!” he tweeted.

Luke returned back to Manchester that evening having spent £300 on his capital outing.

He told the Mail that in future he would not be using his passport as ID when going out drinking.
