I am a democratic outcast
The final insult has reached me.
I have received a letter from my mairis informing me that i am no longer able to vote in the European elections, nor the municipal elections, nor stand as a candidate, and my name has been deleted from the electorial lists.
As I have been resident in France for more than 15 years, I cannot vote for anything in the UK. I have been deprived of all of my democratic rights.
I now know what it is like to be an outcast!
I can only hope that this new residency card website that the French government is setting up will return something to me regarding my democratic rights.
