Simple life
In reply to Stephen Morgan (Brittany on a budget, May Letters), I also live in Brittany and I am happy here; I do own my own house and an 18-year-old Clio which I use only when walking does not serve.
My British state pension is my income and that is £70 per week due to various factors.
If I was living in the UK I have been told I would qualify for a “top-up”. I have a small garden, vegetables and flowers. I do not feel deprived in any way.
A Connexion subscription is one of my treats.
