Vehicle ends up in a ditch in the Dordogne as driver is shocked by spider
A driver’s journey ended in a ditch in the Dordogne after a spider appeared on the inside of her windscreen.
The accident happened on a small road off the D707 near Nantheuil in the north of the department yesterday afternoon.
While the 29-year-old driver was not injured, her passenger was taken to hospital for x-rays.
The driver, who is from the Cher department, told emergency services she had panicked when the arachnid wandered in front of her line of vision.
The fate and species of the spider remains unknown.
