If this year is anything to go by, then 2024 will be a great year for live music festivals in France. The Connexion has chosen a selection and we suggest as always that you check with organisers nearer the time that nothing has changed.

Ocean Fest

Start the year on a high at Ocean Fest on January 6 at the Zénith de Nantes stadium.

While the festival is focused around environmental issues and the protection of the oceans in order to collect donations for different causes, they do not hold back when it comes to music.

This year will see the likes of Petit Biscuit, Ofenbach and Ibrahim Maalouf performing.

Printemps de Bourges

The Printemps de Bourges festival will take place across the city from April 23 to 28, 2024.

Organisers have unveiled a line-up with headliners such as Mika and PLK, meanwhile American singer Cat Power will perform a tribute concert to Bob Dylan at the Cathedral of Bourges.

Another event "Messages personnelles" will see artists cover the repertoire of Françoise Hardy.

Beauregard Festival

From July 4-7, the 16th edition of the Beauregard Festival will take place at Chateau de Beauregard in Hérouville Saint-Clair (Calvados) and 60% of tickets have been sold already.

Visitors can see performances from Bring Me the Horizon, Massive Attack and Purple Disco Machine.

Rock en Seine

Eurovision 2021 winners Maneskin are one of a number of artists unveiled for the Rock en Seine festival 2024 taking place at the Parc de Saint-Cloud (Hauts-de-Seine).

Despite the Olympic Games, the 20th edition of Rock en Seine will still go ahead on the same dates as usual (August 22-25) and will welcome the usual amount of festival-goers – 160,000.

Chorégies d’Orange

Dating back to 1869, the Chorégies d’Orange is the oldest festival in France and the place to be if you love opera and classical music.

Taking place in a Roman Theatre in Orange (Provence), almost 9,000 spectators come to lap up the incredible music and atmosphere.

The dates and programme for next year’s festival will be revealed on December 18.

Rise Festival

Welcome the winter season with Rise Festival, nestled in the snow-clad peaks of Les 2 Alpes.

This week-long festival from December 7-14 will transform the serene mountain resort into a music-lover’s winter wonderland.

Rise Festival 2024 will be the tenth edition of this alpine festival.
