France’s wealth tax nets €1.8bn
The property wealth tax IFI, which replaced ISF, is bringing in more than expected – €1.8billion this year, up from €1.3billion in 2018.
When it was brought in, it was expected to net about €850million. Reasons are thought to include more tax inspections, property price increases, and online declaration which helps avoid people undervaluing their homes.
