Letters: I get more cold calls since signing up to Bloctel system

Bloctel is completely useless, I receive two or three calls every day. I hardly ever answer the landline now, it’s ridiculous. 

I have noticed that often it is not even a person calling, just a recording. 

Recently confirming my Bloctel account actually resulted in an increase in calls. 

All the calls are about panneaux solaires (solar panels), which is especially annoying as I cannot have them. I live next to a chateau, I cannot even change my roof tiles. 

Some years ago I got so frustrated by the number of calls from insulation firms that I let them make an appointment, then went out. I left a note on the door explaining I was getting around five calls a day and, if you waste my time, I’ll waste yours. That did have some effect.
