Swimming pools: keep it simple

Many of France’s piscine purveyors agree that the trend (tendance) for installing a pool in 2026 is to go for finishes that are both elegant yet durable.

With this in mind, dark coatings (charcoal grey, black, deep green) are appealing for their mirror effect and their ability to enhance the environment while helping to conserve water heat. Meanwhile, natural stone remains a safe bet for decking.

As for an ecological approach to maintaining the pool, the goal is to reduce water and energy consumption while preserving the quality of the water and the beauty of the pool. So, choose low-consumption filtration systems, automated and intelligent water management, and energy-efficient pumps and lights.

Mini-piscines (pictured), for urban residents or swimmers with smaller budgets, are also on trend for this year.

Pump after la pluie

A water pump for transferring collected rainwater

Now that spring showers are upon us, collecting rainwater is the sensible and sustainable option for watering your garden. For those whose collection vessel does not have a tap, a pump offers a solution for transferring water into a watering can.

This Gardena 4700/2 rainwater collector pump boasts a maximum flow rate of 4,700L/h and a pressure of 2.3 bar, while its stainless steel body and telescopic aluminium delivery pipe offer high durability. The pump is also equipped with an automatic on/off function, and an integrated pre-filter.
