200 anti-health pass protests to take place in France this Saturday
Hundreds of thousands of people are set to take part - although the number of protesters has begun to fall a little week on week

More than 200 protests against the French health pass - pass sanitaire - are set to take place today across France. It will be the sixth weekend of manifestations.
Four separate demonstrations - organised by different groups - are to take place in Paris with numbers expected in the capital to be between 13,900-17,000 protesters
Last Saturday August 14, the Interior Minister reported that 214,845 people took part in demonstrations across the country, a slight decrease on the previous Saturday.
Le Nombre jaune, a group close to the gilets jaunes which claims to ‘really’ count the number of protesters, claims it recorded more than 388,843 demonstrators that day. It cites 415,000 taking part the Saturday before.
The health pass consists of proof of vaccination or a recent negative Covid test, which an individual must have in order to enter a range of public spaces including bars, restaurants, shopping centres and long distance transport.
