Five unions, CGT, CFDT, FO, CFTC have already called for ‘a day of action’ on May 22 but left department and company branches to decide on the exact measures.
They are calling for the right to retire at 60 and guarantees that there will be no changes to the length of time that people must pay into their pensions.
While the second biggest conductors’ union has announced it will go on strike the cheminots’ - train drivers - unions have yet to do so.
Among reforms put forward by the government include a plan to progressively raise the number of years people must pay into state pensions to 41 by 2012.
