Benefit boost with law changes
Trades and craft workers, shopkeepers and other professionals will be able to benefit from the RSA (Revenu de solidarité active) welfare benefit and prime d’activité from July in new legal changes.

Their businesses should not have earned more than €82,200 over the past 12 months but they will be able to claim based on three months of business and not, as at present, on their last tax bill revenu annuel net imposable. This means they will not have to wait a year before being able to apply.
The change is worth €536.78/month (rising to €545.48 in September) on RSA and €526.25/month for the prime.
