GP referall not always necessary
I have been advised that it is not necessary to obtain reference from your médecin-traitant
THANK you for publishing my letter (“100% health cover claim is deceptive”, Connexion February) on the subject of mutuelles.
It gives me confidence that you are completely impartial considering the fact that you are carrying adverts for health cover offers.
Things have moved on and I have received an offer from a law professor at Montpellier University to advise me at no charge. So much for the power of the press.
Larry Fulton said in the response below my letter that going straight to a consultant directly and not through the médecin traitant incurs a penalty charge.
However I have been advised that it is not necessary to obtain reference from your médecin-traitant for ophthalmic, dental or gynaecological problems.
