Halle Berry banned from France move
Star had wanted to leave Los Angeles for Paris after concerns for her safety and daughter's privacy
HOLLYWOOD actress Halle Berry has been banned from moving to France as part of a custody battle.
Berry, star of Monster's Ball, Die Another Day and X-men, had wanted to leave Los Angeles after concerns for her safety and her four-year-old daughter Nahla's privacy.
She told the Connexion in October that France's privacy laws offered greater protection than in the States where she felt “hunted and exploited”.
The actress had wanted to start a new life with her fiancé, French actor Olivier Martinez but an American judge has ordered her to remain in the country.
Berry's former husband, model Gabriel Aubry, has fought the move in the courts.
Two men convicted of stalking Berry have recently been released in America.
