Hydrogen rail plan in Occitanie
The first region in France to run hydrogen-fuelled trains is set to be Occitanie.
The regional council intends to buy three trains from Alstom, which will be used on the Montréjeau to Luchon line in Haute-Garonne.
Hydrogen as a fuel produces no emissions and can be made with a supply of water and electricity.
