MAP: Many areas of France are on high alert for grass pollen

The warnings have been raised by the state body that monitors pollen levels in the country

Grass allergens peak in the summer

Alerts over grass pollen levels have been raised across France, with every department on at least a medium warning.

The warnings have been raised by the Réseau National de Surveillance Aérobiologique (RNSA), which monitors pollen levels in the country.

You can see a map of the warnings below. Click on the map to move it around.

Pollen levels for other allergens across France are mostly at low levels, including chestnut, oak, lime and olive, and for some flowers.

An interactive version of the map can be found on the RNSA website, which shows the risk of all pollen levels in the department.

The website also provides updates on how long the increased risk levels are set to last. As of July 12, there are no updates for next week.

However, high pollen levels are expected to continue, spurred on by rainfall from storms followed by the warm weekend weather.

Grass pollen peaks in June and July, but can last well into autumn. You can see a list of which pollen levels are high when in France in the article below.
