Orange alert for storms
Dangerous weather is expected in the north and east of France this afternoon and evening
AN ORANGE alert is in place for stormy weather in the North and East of France this afternoon and evening.
Météo France says people should be very careful, as dangerous weather is expected in a zone east of a line from the Seine-Maritime, to the Eure-et-Loir, Yonne, Côte d’Or and Doubs.
The storms, which will sometimes be strong, will be accompanied by intense rainfall, gusts of wind, a lot of lightning, and hail. Before storms arrive you may notice the sky looking brighter than usual, or alternating sun and showers, says Météo France.
There may also be some isolated storms in Brittany and Normandy.
