Paid holiday for carers in France next year
People who need time off work to care for disabled, elderly or ill relatives should have the right to paid leave from next year under plans.

The health minister wants to create a form of paid holiday for helpers (aidants), during which people would continue to build up pension rights.
At present, workers have the right to up to three months off to care for a loved one but it is not paid.
