Paris-London hit by BA crew strike

About half of flights between Charles de Gaulle and Heathrow are cancelled from Monday until June 9

BRITISH Airways flights to and from France are facing disruption from Monday until June 9 as a strike by cabin crew is back on.

The airline was granted a high court injunction preventing the walkout from going ahead, but this was overturned on appeal yesterday.

Flights to London City and Gatwick airports are unaffected, but about half of services between Paris Charles de Gaulle and London Heathrow will be cancelled.

The walkout will run in three blocks of five days, starting on May 24 and ending on June 9. Between each five-day strike there will be a day of normal service - planned for May 29 and June 4.

"We are very disappointed that [trade union] Unite's appeal has been upheld, reintroducing the threat of strike action," British Airways said in a statement on its website.

"Our key concern now is to keep as many of you flying as possible and we will be proceeding with our contingency plans.

"We will do all we can to minimise the disruption to you."

BA says that if your flight is cancelled you can rebook onto another flight on the same route departing any time within the next 355 days at no extra charge.

Alternatively, you can rebook onto another BA flight to a nearby alternative airport or pick another airline.

You can check whether your flight is cancelled on the BA website.
