Five cold medicines sold in France should be avoided because they can lead to severe reactions and a risk of overdose, states ANSM, the French agency for medicines and health.
The medicines all contain a cocktail of active drugs including a vasoconstrictor, an antihistamine and paracetamol or ibuprofen, which, when together, can lead to a higher risk of heart attacks and strokes.
