Prehistoric treasure found in city centre
More than 200,000 objects dating back 14,000 years have been uncovered in the centre of Angoulême.
The discovery, including 200,000 flints and 400 arrowheads, was made during a routine excavation prior to the construction of a business centre a few minutes from the station in the Charente city.
