School meal price cut by €2 per child
Eating at the canteen is to cost a lot less for thousands of primary school children.

The price of a meal can vary between €3 and €4.50, according to school and region, but the government is subsidising every meal to the tune of €2 as part of the fight against poverty.
This programme will be set up in 10,000 communes.
Eight regions will also trial free breakfasts for children, notably in Toulouse and Montpellier.
