Strike disruption hits Paris commute
Monday-morning commute hit as union members stage overnight walkout over reorganisation proposals
RAIL travel in and out of Paris’s Gare Saint-Lazare has been hit this morning as union members strike over proposed reorganisation plans.
The walkout began last night and was due to run until 11am today, when SUD union members were to hold a meeting to decide whether to continue the action.
According to SNCF, services to and from Yvelines and Val-d’Oise have been most hit.
The company has said TER and RER trains, as well as trunkline services to Le Havre, Cherbourg and Caen were expected to run normally during the strike.
