NO taxation without representation is a democratic principle going back centuries and is at the heart of Alan Akhurst’s letter (Connexion, June) about the right to vote in France. My views are in harmony with his and I am sure many other British residents of France subject to paying tax on their revenue are of a similar opinion. Maybe this is the time for some action with a new president who appears open to enlarging the franchise for non-French voters.
What do Connexion readers think? I would welcome a dialogue via these pages.
