Zero drug tolerance
Police and gendarmes have been given new kits to help identify road-users driving under the influence of drugs with the announcement that there will be zero tolerance on drug use.
Figures from 2015 show 118,000 drug tests against 18million alcohol tests and police want to reduce accidents – with offenders already facing 10 years’ prison if involved in a fatal crash.
