How to watch the British & Irish Lions Tour of Australia in France

Rugby fans in France can follow the entire 2025 British & Irish Lions rugby tour live on L’Equipe and L’Equipe Live 1, including the three test matches against Australia.

The Lions - the combined team of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland internationals - tour the southern hemisphere every four years, facing either South Africa, New Zealand or Australia. This year it is Australia’s turn to host.

All ten matches of the tour will be broadcast on subscription channel L’Equipe and L’Equipe Live 1 with commentary in French from former internationals including Olivier Magne and Lénaïg Corson. Subscriptions to L’Equipe cost €6.99 a month.

British & Irish Lions tour dates

The tour opens with a warm-up match against Argentina in Dublin on Friday, June 20, at 21:00 (French time). 

The Lions then travel to Australia for a series of seven further fixtures, culminating in the traditional three-test series.

The test matches will be held on July 19 in Brisbane, July 26 in Melbourne and August 2 in Sydney. 

In the lead-up, the Lions will face all five Australian Super Rugby franchises: the Western Force (June 28), Queensland Reds (July 2), NSW Waratahs (July 5), ACT Brumbies (July 9) and the First Nations & Pasifika XV (July 22). 

A further match is scheduled against a combined Australia–New Zealand invitational side in Adelaide on July 12.
