Covid France: Curfew exemption certificate updated for 23:00 change
A night-time curfew remains in place across France. We explain the reasons allowed for going out during this time and give the link for the new attestation form needed
France’s national curfew was pushed back two hours this week and is now in place between 23:00 and 06:00.
The exemption form (attestation de déplacement) that people should complete if they need to go out during these hours has been updated.
You can find the form on the government’s website here – in French or English – or through the track and trace phone application TousAntiCovid.
There are still six permitted reasons for going out during the curfew:
Anyone caught out during the curfew without one of these essential reasons risks a fine of €135, which can rise to €375 in the event of non-payment or failure to appeal within the period indicated on the ticket.
France’s national curfew is set to be removed entirely on June 30.
