Slow ahead, James the radars are out

I CAN understand James May’s comment in the article Drink Driving (Connexion, September) “the understanding is that you can drive slightly faster than you normally would and not much will be said or done about it”.

We live and work in Chamonix and I no longer exceed the limits – not because I am getting old, although I am, but because of the number of mobile speed checks. It is no longer a financial option.

So, Mr May, be aware when you drive your favourite road: keep to the limit and, with the petrol price, save money.
