Jet2 to restart flights from July 15 but not everywhere
Jet2 airline has announced it will be restarting international flights from July 15 but not to any countries where quarantine rules apply.
The company also explained that there will be less routes available and fewer flights due to the uncertainty caused by the coronavirus crisis.
Less destinations and new changes
Some destinations will not be available from the UK such as Nice in France, or Verona in Italy, Mykonos and Santorini in Greece.
There will be some other reductions and new changes to the schedule will be made by the company for summer.
A Jet2 spokesperson said: “We will only take customers to destinations that are quarantine-free, so we ask the government to provide urgent clarity over air bridges so that customers can plan their holidays.”
Summer travel plan to be revealed "very soon"
The company hopes to reveal its full summer programme “very soon” and is waiting on information regarding air bridges announced by the UK government to make routes available.
Currently, France is asking visitors from the UK to go into voluntary quarantine as a reciprocity measure with the UK which asks everyone including Britons travelling back to the UK to quarantine for 14 days.
An agreement between the UK and European countries including France is expected to be made in the next few days. This would allow people to travel freely between these countries and the UK this summer but nothing has been officially announced by the UK government yet.
