‘Sleeping’ woman on London-Nice flight had actually died
The 73-year-old passenger is thought to have suffered a heart-attack
A woman who was thought to be sleeping on a plane from London to Nice yesterday (September 21) had actually died, an official at Nice Airport confirmed to The Connexion.
The passenger had taken flight BA 348 from Heathrow, which landed 1 hour and 47 minutes late at 21:07.
As nearby passengers started to collect hand luggage to disembark they noticed that the woman, first believed to be asleep, was not responding.
Flight crew alerted air traffic control asking for emergency services. Firefighters and paramedics arrived and attempted to revive the woman, however she was officially declared dead at around 22:00.
She is thought to have suffered a heart-attack.
The woman’s nationality or other details have not yet been communicated.
