Delta to launch first Austin-Paris non-stop flight
Daily service will run throughout summer 2027 season
A new route between Paris and Austin will launch next year, the first connecting the Texan city to the French capital.
The route will be operated by Delta Air Lines and run daily throughout the summer season, starting on March 27, 2027.
Flights leave Austin at 15:15 and arrive in Charles de Gaulle airport at 08:15 the following morning, a journey-time of 10 hours.
Return flights leave Paris at 10:10, arriving in Austin at 14:20 (taking just over 11 hours).
Tickets are now on sale via the Delta website, with a round-trip starting at around €830 for one person.
“Launching Austin's first nonstop service to Paris is a defining milestone,” said Delta Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Joe Esposito in a press release.
“Austin and Paris are united by a spirit of culture, creativity, and discovery, and this new route will bring our communities closer together while creating new opportunities for people to experience all that makes our city special,” added Austin Mayor Kirk Watson.
Major airline partnership
The new route forms part of a partnership between Delta Air Lines and the Air France-KLM group, with passengers able to connect at Paris on Air France flights to dozens of onward destinations.
This includes other cities in France, European destinations, and long-haul routes as far-flung as India and Africa.
The partnership will also see up to three flights per week between Austin and Amsterdam in the summer.
Earlier this year, the airline launched a direct Boston-Nice flight, expanding its repertoire of cross-Atlantic routes.
