Where to expect worst traffic over Christmas weekend in France
Many people will travel or do their last minute shopping on Friday and Saturday

Heavy traffic is expected throughout France this Friday (December 22) and Saturday. We look at where delays are expected.
On Friday December 22:
Expect heavy traffic throughout Paris that peaks at 18:00.
Traffic will be particularly heavy around shopping centres and at the A6 and A10 tolls heading southbound.
In the Lyon area expect heavy traffic heading both north and south and particularly on the A7 access roads.
Throughout France, drivers should expect congestion on all roads leading to shopping centres.
Saturday December 23:
Expect heavy traffic all day throughout the Paris area.
Nationally, expect congestion all day long heading south as people travel for their holidays. However, the situation on the A7 access roads in Lyon should have improved.
Sunday December 24:
Motorway traffic should be fluid, however drivers should expect local congestion on roads leading to major shopping centres.
