Parking cheaper than fine

Parking fees are a profitable matter

Online parking booking sites are reporting a rise in business following a new law allowing mairies to set their own parking fines, forfait de post-stationnement, which started in January.

Zenpark and OnePark sites are not only for people looking to avoid fines, however, as they can offer savings over parking fees at some locations such as airports. At Bergerac in the Dordogne, two hours in the airport short-stay can cost more than €7 but two hours in a nearby guest-house car park is €2 through zenpark.com
