Family visiting non-EU citizens
All non-EU family members must register
I have lived in France for 20 years and have a residency card. If my children visit me with their children, i.e my grandchildren, do they all need to register with EES and Etias? Does this include babies?
Unfortunately, yes, if they are non-EU/non-EEA/nonSwiss citizens they will all need to be registered in EES and, when Etias is in force, they will need this authorisation.
There are no exemptions for family members of foreign long-term residents of France.
With regard to ‘family members’, there are certain special rules for certain close family of EU citizens only, and the visitors must be accompanying or joining their EU citizen family member who must be visiting or living in a country other than that of their nationality.
