A faceless candidate
I REFER to your interview with Kenza Drider (Connexion, March), who wears a niqab and wishes to seek election as president while defying the laws of France.
I am not racist nor antireligion, but I cannot see any reason for an elector to vote for a faceless candidate for whatever reason.
If she wishes to wear a face mask then I suggest she returns to a country where they are permitted, assuming they will accept her as a free woman and allow her to present herself for election.
In the meantime, I hope that Connexion will continue to cater for those of us who live in France and accept to abide by the laws of our country of adoption.
