Angoulême flights to London restored
CityLine Swiss to provide three return flights a week to Gatwick, after Ryanair quit the Charente airport in February
REGULAR flights from Angoulême to London will be restored in June with the arrival of a new operator to replace Ryanair.
CityLine Swiss has begun taking bookings for the three return flights a week to Gatwick - on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons from June 2.
The airline will also operate flights from the Charente airport to Lyon and Marseille - with bookings for these due to open later this week.
Return tickets start at €55 and include a 20kg hold baggage allowance, one piece of hand luggage and a snack, soft drink and English or French newspaper on board.
All three routes will use 167-seater planes. The Gatwick flight is scheduled to take an hour and 15 minutes.
Angoulême lost its regular link to London in February when Ryanair stopped its Stansted flights in a row over money.
