Eurostar slashes prices for services to London as SNCF launches one million low-cost TGV seats
RAIL giants Eurostar and SNCF have launched a series of cheap tickets that put Paris and London just €79 or £59 apart and offer one million TGV tickets round France from just €15.
The Eurostar deal is bookable until September 16 but offers a return to London for €79 – with a similar offer available in the UK giving return tickets to Paris for £59.
Journeys must be taken between September 30 and December 19 and include cut-price sight-seeing, giving passengers two-for-one entry to leading sights in both Paris and London.
SNCF has a seat sale across the country that offers cut-price, non-refundable Prem’s tickets from €15 on certain journeys and €25 on many routes out of Paris.
Prem’s tickets are usually available only three months before the departure but the new tickets are available right away.
Day-return Prem’s TGV tickets at just €30 are also available on certain routes that are less than two hours apart.
Bookings for the SNCF offer are open only until September 20 but the tickets can be used until December 14.
