French supermarket chain Carrefour has recalled one of its raclette cheese products over suspicion of a contamination of listeria.
The product concerned are the 400g packets of “la Raclette classique”, on shelves since August 23 with the batch number 1152223102.

If you have bought this product you should not eat it. You should take the product back to the shop where you bought it with the receipt for a refund. The shop should also reimburse you without the receipt if you show them the packet.

Listeria poses a higher risk to pregnant women, older people and those with weakened immune systems. It can cause fever, muscle aches, headaches, stiff necks, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions.

The recall period runs until October 4.
