The concept, which allows you to get cash from stores as long as you make a purchase by bank card, is already widespread in several European countries but was slow to start in France. It has come in following a European directive.
The maximum amount you can get is €60. It is hoped this will especially help people who live in the countryside, far from bank cash dispensers, whose numbers have fallen in recent years.
