Chance to spend night in a museum
Hundreds of French museums are open free tomorrow night for the Nuit des Musées.
TOMORROW (Saturday) is the fifth annual Nuit des Musées (Museums Night).
It is a chance for a free evening visit to one of hundreds of museums and historic sites around France.
To make the event unique many of the venues have events or displays like musical or theatrical performances or special lighting effects.
The event is on a European scale but in France more than a thousand venues are taking part, from the Louvre, the Cinémathèque Français or the Cité des Sciences (pictured) in Paris to the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Lyon or the Musée des Augustins in Toulouse.
Marking the 60th anniversary of the Council of Europe, the Palais de l’Europe building in Strasbourg is included in the programme this year, displaying a selection of art offered by member states over the years.
You can search by town or region for events in your area at Nuit des Musées website
