Chanel threatens to shut perfumery
LUXURY giant Chanel says that plans for a TGV line near its perfumery on the Riviera could see it close the plant.
The threat came as the company objected to the €6.7bn high-speed rail line between Nice and Marseille which it says would run through the fields where it grows jasmine and may rose flowers for the perfume for Chanel No5.
