Colours to change on euro notes
Five euro notes will be the first to get a revamp, from 2013
EURO notes are going to have a new colour scheme from 2013.
While the designs will stay the same, the notes will have more contrasting colours, says the Central European Bank.
Printing of the new notes will start with five euro ones, next year, and they will be released in 2013.
A batch of 1.25 billion of them will be prepared at the Banque de France’s site at Chamalières, Puy-de-Dôme.
Ten euro notes will be printed in 2014 and 20 euro ones in 2015.
