Congestion charge unnecessary here

Why on earth invent solutions for problems that don't exist?

WITH reference to your article: “Why don’t French cities try congestion charges?” (Connexion2, October 2010), the French don’t have much of a congestion problem in most of their towns, so why on earth invent solutions for problems that don’t exist?

One of the reasons I appreciate living here is that the French have not become as greedy as the British.

They are not out to get you on every corner, making you pay through the nose for the obvious things in life.

You can keep those money-spinning gimmicks in the UK.
