A 15-YEAR-OLD girl has been caught speeding along a motorway near Pau at 171kph.
Police in Lescar, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, pulled over the car on Sunday afternoon after they spotted it driving too fast and erratically weaving between lanes on the A64.
According to Sud Ouest, the girl's 49-year-old friend, who owned the car, had allowed her to try driving for a while and he took the passenger seat.
The girl was cautioned for driving over the speed limit without a licence. The man faces criminal charges.
