Deckchairs can cut fingers off
Wooden deckchairs from DIY giant can cut your fingers off if they are not assembled correctly
CUSTOMERS who bought wooden deckchairs from DIY giant Castorama have been warned they could lose their fingers if the chairs have not been assembled correctly.
Castorama told customers to check chiliennes in the styles Kent and Harmony – they can be assembled with an important section “upside down” and this could cause the chair to collapse completely.
Customers have been told to check the assembly instructions very carefully and Castorama posted internet notices showing what to avoid here
Store staff have also been put on alert to help customers.
